When you find out that you are expecting a child, everything changes. It can be your hopes, your dreams, and your relationship. Your proposal plans may change, as well. If you are planning to propose to your pregnant girlfriend, then it’s a great idea to include the whole family in your proposal. Here are some proposal ideas:
Sonogram Proposal
Why not include your child in the proposal? If you have a sonogram of your child, get a high quality print made and feature it in your proposal. Then perhaps in an understated way, include it with photos of you and your sweetheart together as part of the proposal decorations. You can also make it the focus of the proposal with text that reads, “Mommy, Will You Marry Daddy?”.
Nursery Proposal
Pregnant women have a tendency to “nest” to spend time finding and arranging the things they’ll need when the baby comes. They also want to make an inviting space for the child. Help her by finding a few finishing touches for the nursery. Get the room ready for her when she isn’t expecting it. This might range from a few soft toys and inviting decorations to an entire nursery setup with bassinet and rocking chair. Whatever you add, make it a bright and welcoming space. Your participation and thoughtfulness will mean worlds to her. Ask her to join you in the nursery and let her appreciate the finished space before going down on one knee.
Video Time Capsule
You both will remember your proposal for the rest of your lives- why not find a way to pass the memory on to your child, as well? Consider proposing by way of a video, which can then be kept and shown to your child later. It will become a family treasure and remain part of your child’s life story
