Vireak wanted his proposal to feel timeless, deeply personal, and reflective of the 8 years they had spent growing together. Their relationship began in high school after being placed together for an English group project despite both secretly asking to be switched because they thought they would not work well together. Years later, they would laugh about how that one unexpected moment led to a love story that took them from Cambodia and Thailand to Shanghai, Philadelphia, and eventually New York City. For this luxury rooftop proposal in New York City, we transformed a private rooftop garden overlooking St Patricks Cathedral into an intimate proposal experience featuring romantic florals, candlelight, a moonlit picnic, a live string quartet, pastel styling inspired by the couple’s aesthetic, and their beloved dog by their side. Every detail was intentionally designed around their relationship and the life they had built together.
