Where to Propose in Washington DC

Jefferson Memorial
There are a lot of memorials in Washington but I feel that the Jefferson Memorial is one of the best ones because it has amazing views of the Washington Monument, Lincoln Memorial, and is very picturesque. Take your partner here during a nice spring day and propose at the steps.
Georgetown Waterfront Park
This is one of our favorite locations for proposals. With amazing views of the Potomac and a greenbelt where beautiful and intimate setups can be done, it’s a very versatile location. It’s also a great location where very public displays such as Flash Mobs can happen.
Great Falls Park
Only about 15 miles northwest of Washington, this park gives you gorgeous scenery that will be a perfect backdrop for a proposal. The Potomac River flows over a section with many rocks that create cascading waterfalls. It’s very romantic to have as a location for a proposal.
The Smithsonian
There are several of these museums so you have your pick if your significant other has a love for history, air & space, art, or culture. Take your partner here for an enjoyable time looking at the sites and have something special setup outside to pull it all together.
US Botanical Gardens
Take your partner here when the cherry blossoms are in bloom and it will be gorgeous. Sit down at a pretty bench and arrange to have a violinist appear to serenade you two with your song. It will be very romantic and heartfelt.
