An Inspiring Re-Proposal

The story of Dennis’ re-proposal is a true inspiration to all.  Dennis came to the wedding proposal planners at The Heart Bandits because he wanted to know how to propose with a do-over proposal for Anna.  Anna and Dennis had been married for about 5 years, but like many couples, challenges in there lives caused them to split.  However, they never ever stopped loving each other and neither of them ever took off their wedding rings.  Dennis professed that he and Anna were truly made for each other, deeply in love, and are each other’s best friends…..Soul mates in every sense of the word.   They promised each other when they split that they would we’d remarry in the future. Dennis came to us because he wanted to blow her away with not just asking her to marry him again—but to have an amazing engagement story to tell.

As you can imagine, being married for 5 years gave them a rich history with each other to include having two children together.  Anna was already looking for private gardens in NYC for their potential future wedding, so we decided that a secret garden would be the best proposal location. Dennis would take her there under the ruse that they were considering the garden as a venue for their wedding.  When she walked in, she got a far greater surprise.

The entire pathway of the park was lined with easels and photos from their 5 loving years shared together.  Next to the sign that said, “Dennis & Anna’s Memory Lane” was a guitarist playing their special song.  Dennis walked her down the path and together, they reminisced on the things that were important, the things that made their relationship so beautiful.

On the last sign, instead of a year, it said “Now” and the words “Smile”.  The photographer was standing by as Dennis dropped to one knee to propose to Anna…..promising forever.  I think it’s clear by Anna’s reaction, this is just what her heart desired.
