This proposal is up there with some of my favorite marriage proposals of all time. When Pete contacted us to plan his proposal to Dili, he had one requirement and that was that it needed to be epic! Pete and Dili had only been dating 8 months when he hired us, but he knew right away that she was the one. He lives in Australia and he flew all the way to Italy to take her out on their first date. He was hooked ever since. He knew that Dili (and every other woman in the world) wanted an amazing proposal. We presented him the idea of renting out a rooftop in NYC with phenomenal views. Along with our designers, we would create a sort of rooftop garden with an aisle replicating green grass with tulips seemingly growing out of it. He fell in love with the idea and we got started working to bring it to life!
Fast forward to the proposal day, the couple was visiting NYC and Pete told her that they had dinner reservations. Pete and Dili arrived at the location and a hostess walked them out to the rooftop. A violinist and guitarist started playing “All of the Stars,” by Ed Sheeran and Dili knew this was much more than dinner. Pete walked her down the aisle, through the tulips to the edge of the glamorous rooftop where he professed his love and asked her to be his wife.
She said yes and then the two celebrated with wine and a private dinner under the stars. We are so proud and honored that Pete chose us to plan his very special marriage proposal.
