Casey Hale Studio – Featured Artist

Today we’re going to be featuring an artist that we got a chance to work with on a surprise proposal by The Heart Bandits. A few weeks ago, we got an inquiry from Sameer about having a surprise proposal on the beach for his girlfriend Nisha. His idea required us to not only find an artist, but an artist that would also willing to be directly involved the proposal. Luckily we found Casey Hale from Casey Hale Studio to help with not only the painting of the props, but also with some impromptu acting that helped make the proposal perfect. Having Casey was A LOT better than having me draw stick figures as the paintings. 😉

Casey did a wonderful job with the paintings and Sameer & Nisha even got to take his work home as mementos of their engagement day. Casey was an easy choice for our artist because he was easy to work with and completely understood our situation. He offered up his own ideas on how to artistically incorporate the proposal into his paintings. If you look closely at the paintings, you’ll see that the words of the proposal are actually clouds hovering over a gorgeous beach setting at sunset. It was beautiful and perfect for Sameer’s proposal.

After the proposal, I got a chance to chat with Casey about some of his work. He described to me that the type of work he’s currently interested in now incorporates dream imagery with realism into one. It was pretty fascinating.  He has a great gallery of past work that showcases his talents as a professional illustrator, sculptor, painter, graphic artist, and photographer.
